Eirik Hegdal about the project:
"The ensemble on this record consists of musicians with whom I have worked in many different contexts, and whom I know well. Creatively thinking musicians with strong personal expression. This is the framework on which this work is built, and which binds it together.
The work has 24 movements, large and small, composed and improvised, with the aim of emphasizing the playfulness of the ensemble. The compositions are often frameworks for collective improvisation, preferably in several layers. Structures that provide both friction and harmony. Other compositions are more concrete, but tend to take up general parameters from freer lines. There are common features from the recording "We are?" with almost the same crew, but the aim has been to explore other aspects of the interaction."
